一、意思不同
Lend：是把自己东西借给别人，和介词to连用，构成短语：lend sth to 。
borrow：是把别人东西借给自己，通常和介词from连用，构成borrow sth from 。
二、用法不同
lend用法：表示动作或状态 。
例句：Would you please lend me your pencil?
请把铅笔借给我用用好吗?
borrow用法：常用作谓语 。
例句：He uses his house as security to borrow the money.
他用房子作借钱的抵押 。
三、侧重点不同
lend侧重点：lend的借东西或者借钱指的是借出这个含义，失去东西 。
borrow侧重点：borrow的借东西或者借钱指的是借入这个含义，收获东西 。
