在同一期《科学》杂志上,北京大学BIOPIC和生命科学学院张泽民教授与同事发表了评论文章 。他们指出,这四篇研究论文创建的泛组织人类细胞图谱,使我们离真正的人类单细胞图谱“百科全书”更近一步,有望促进测序与分析技术及生物学发现的全面进展 。“最终,我们将在单个基因、细胞、组织与表型层面系统性地理解生物学过程 。”
在展望未来如何利用这些数据为人类健康造福时,张泽民教授举例说,在开发新疗法时,人类细胞图谱的数据就可以用来预测可能带来的副作用,避免药物“脱靶”产生的安全问题,大大助力于新药研发的毒性预测,将毒副作用识别在人体试验之前 。
